VirusScan 8.5.0i - Download instructions
- Visit www.troy.edu.
- Locate and click the TROY QUICK LINKS drop down box in the lower left corner of the page.
- Click the IT Help menu item in the TROY QUICK LINKS drop down menu .
- Click Software on the left menu of the IT website. This will open the Software page that lists various downloads available from the IT website.
- Click the Anti-Virus Software link or scroll down the page to the Anti-Virus Software section. Then click the Anti-Virus Software Download Page link to proceed.
- Click the McAfee Virus Scan 8.5 link to download the software. (Note: Users may need to choose a different anti-virus software program to download depending on the operating system used).
- Enter your Troy University E-mail username and password to download the software.
- On most systems such as Windows XP or Vista, a security bar will appear below your address bar. Click the To help protect your security, .... bar. OS X and Windows Vista users will see different warnings but should follow the instructions shown on your computer in order to download and install the program.
- On the drop down menu click the menu item Download File...
- Click Save from the File Download - Security Warning dialog box.
- Click Desktop or select a location to save the installation file.
- Click Save.
- A saving file dialog box will appear. Wait until download is complete.
- When file download is complete, you can select Run or you can visit the Virus software installation instruction page and review the installation instructions here.
