VirusScan 8.5.0i Updates Check
- Find the VirusScan icon in the bottom-right hand corner of the screen in the Task Tray.
- Right-click the VirusScan icon and choose About VirusScan Enterprise .
- Make sure your McAfee virus software is VirusScan Enterprise 8.5.0i. If your version is below 8.5.0i click here for download instructions.
- Virus Definitions (a.k.a DATs) are updated several times a week. Make sure the DAT Created On: date is either yesterday's or today's date. If not, follow the Update Now instructions. Here
- Patch updates are released only a few times a year. Make sure your current Installed Patches: is at least 1. If not, follow the Update Now instructions. Here
- Click OK to close dialog box. If you feel your virus software needs a DAT or patch update, click here for instructions to update your DAT or patch definitions. If your virus software is not 8.5.0.i or greater, click here for download instructions.
