Outlook Express 6 Setup (Screenshots) Setup Outlook Express 6 to check your Trojan E-mail account:

1. Open Outlook Express

2. Choose Tools from the menu bar

4. In the Internet Accounts window that opens, click on the Add button

5. Select Mail... in the list that pops up.

6. In the new window, type in your name, then click Next

7. Type in your Trojan E-mail address, then click Next

8. In the Incoming mail server field, and Outgoing mail server field, type in mail.troy.edu. Then click Next.

9. Make sure your account name is correct, then type in your password. Click Next and then choose Finish.

10. In the Internet Accounts window, click on the account labeled mail.troy.edu and then choose the Properties button.

11. In the new window, click on the Servers tab at the top.

12. At the bottom of the window, check the box labeled My server requires authentication.

13. Click on the Advanced tab in the upper right of the window.

14. There are 2 checkboxes labeled This server requires a secure connection (SSL). Make sure both boxes are checked. After checking the boxes, make sure the Outgoing mail (SMTP) option is set to 25 and the Incoming mail (POP3) option is set to 995.

15. Click OK

16. Click Close

Your e-mail client is now configured to check your Trojan E-mail account.

If you are using Norton Antivirus, make sure that Outbound E-mail Scanning is disabled in Norton Antivirus. With this setting enabled, you will not be able to send e-mail via Outlook Express.
