As with many new operating system releases, there are initially a number of incompatibilities with regularly used applications and this is also the case with Windows 10. Please note that there may still be applications that have not released updates for Windows 10, and installation issues may occur at any time in the life of this operating system. Please place a helpdesk ticket at: http://helpdesk.troy.edu/ and select Windows 10 and our team will contact you.
The previous update to Windows OS, Windows 8, changed the look and operation of the desktop experience with the Metro interface. The Metro interface is still available in Windows 10; however, combining the Metro interface and the traditional start menu from Windows 7 and earlier. This is the most dramatic change in the operating system.
