Student E-mail Accounts


A student's university e-mail address is the official point of communication for all university business conducted with the student.

All Troy University students are required to have and check a Troy University e-mail account. This account should be used for all official Troy University electronic correspondence. Once you have registered for classes your e-mail account will be created within 48 hours. Your e-mail address is the same as your Trojan Web Express ID. If you do not know your Trojan Web Express ID, follow this link:


Find Your E-mail Address


Your password is the same as your Trojan Web Express password.

Your initial password (PIN) is the First Letter of your First Name (capital) + First Letter of your Last Name (lowercase) + 8 digit birthdate (MMDDYYYY).

If you continue to have difficulty, send an e-mail to or contact the Helpdesk at 1-334-670-HELP (4357).

Students have a mailbox size limit of 50 GB.

Listed below are examples of the types of communication from the university that a student may receive via one's e-mail account:

  • tuition payment reminders
  • notification of special events
  • course instructions and assignments
  • temporary Web Express Password
